step-by-step problem solver
Algebra - We are taking a Partner Test on Chapter 3. It will take 2 days but the students usually enjoy it and also learn from the process. We don't do this often so it is a special treat for them. I love walking around the room and hearing them discuss solving a weighted average problem. We will be starting an Aging Project next week but need to do some preparation for this project. The students will find the next chapter easier and more familiar.

Pre-Algebra - Chapter 4 is our chapter on exponenets. This chapter's information will help the students on FCAT as there are usually several problems involving exponents. We will also be reviewing scientific notation which is applicable in their science classes. The students have a Formula Project due on Friday, Nov. 14, worth 100 points. They are to use 8 different formulas in a practical way, showing clear understanding along with labeled diagrams.
