Hi there!
We were, just yesterday, made aware of an opportunity for middle school chorus students, and I would love to take my kids. I'm not sure if this is short notice and wanted to check with you first. I have a calendar request ready to be turned in today.
The Orlando Opera is presenting a one-act zarzuela (Spanish opera) on October 18th at Winter Park HS. I would love to take the girls in Musicale and Maitland Singers to see this performance. It will begin at 10:30 (we would leave here at 10:00) and we should be back by noon. They should be back to eat lunch, though I will need to line up the times for these girls in both 7th and 8th grades. The district will pay for buses, according to Carolyn Minear, if we get our request in early enough.
Is this something we have your permission to do, or is it too late to make these plans on such short notice? I don't want other teachers to be upset.
Please advise. Thank you!!!
