The drama classes are off to another great start this semester!
The Advanced Drama class gave Four / 4 wonderful performances of Little Women that went extremely well!
Both students and parents, alike,
gave rave reviews!!!
Way to go Maitland Performers!!!
Introduction to Drama, is having a super time during our demonstration speeches unit!
We are learning about everything from
How to bake a cake,
How to decorate a locker for birthdays,
How to make a gold ring,
to How to prepare French fries!!!
Costuming and Nursery Tale Rewrites are coming up after Spring Break!
The class will use “hands-on” techniques such as speaking with microphones, designing and creating costumes,
and even holding a puppet show complete with original scripts and hand-made puppets before the end of the year!
Creative Dramatics
students have been busy performing
in-class plays,
learning the basics of acting, and entertaining their parents
with live presentations
of their Dramatic Introduction speeches. Next up
we move into our Pantomime Unit.
Don't be surprised if you see some very "pale" faces walking around............
'without a word!' :)
A special thank you goes out
to all the wonderful parents
who have sent in supplies
for our units
and
attended presentations!
