How to make a referral

Students are referred to the SAFE Program in several different ways.  They can be referred by teachers, parents, administrators, peers or themselves.  A referral can be made by contacting Kimberly Taylor, SAFE Coordinator, by filling out a referral form, contact by phone, by completing a "Self Referral Form," and giving it to a teacher or to the front desk to place in Ms.Taylor's mailbox.  You may choose to fold the referral and tape it, or put the referral in an envelope so no one sees your information but the SAFE Coordinator  Once a referral is made, the SAFE Coordinator and team will evaluate the situation, in a confidential manner, and an appropriate intervention plan will be determined.

*NOTE:  Any expressions, verbal or written, of suicide ideation, child abuse, hurting others, weapons, homelessness, and/or suspicious bruises or cuts are ALL considered EMERGENCIES and you must contact SAFE, administrators, School Resource Officer, or law enforcement IMMEDIATELY!
